Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran Continuous Professional Development (CPD) dalam meningkatkan kinerja guru di sekolah Islam, khususnya pada aspek kompetensi pedagogik, motivasi kerja, dan profesionalisme guru. Urgensi penelitian ini didasarkan pada masih terbatasnya bukti empiris yang mengkaji efektivitas CPD dalam konteks pendidikan Islam, serta kecenderungan implementasi CPD yang bersifat administratif dan kurang berorientasi pada kebutuhan nyata guru. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain deskriptif-eksploratif. Subjek penelitian dipilih secara purposif, melibatkan guru dan pimpinan sekolah Islam yang memiliki pengalaman langsung dalam pelaksanaan CPD. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara semi-terstruktur dan analisis dokumen, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan teknik analisis tematik dengan triangulasi sumber untuk menjaga keabsahan data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa CPD berkontribusi signifikan terhadap peningkatan kompetensi pedagogik guru, terutama dalam perencanaan pembelajaran, pengelolaan kelas, dan integrasi nilai-nilai Islam dalam praktik pembelajaran. Selain itu, CPD berperan dalam memperkuat motivasi kerja, kepercayaan diri, dan tanggung jawab profesional guru. Namun, efektivitas CPD masih menghadapi sejumlah tantangan, seperti ketidaksesuaian materi dengan kebutuhan guru, dominasi pendekatan teoretis, serta keterbatasan partisipasi dan interaksi selama pelatihan. Temuan ini menegaskan urgensi perancangan program CPD yang lebih kontekstual, partisipatif, dan berorientasi pada kebutuhan guru agar mampu berfungsi secara optimal sebagai strategi pengembangan profesional berkelanjutan di sekolah Islam.
