Analisis Profesionalisme Guru: Ditinjau dari Perspektif Keislaman dan Perspektif Kebangsaan

Abstract

This study aims to analyze teacher professionalism from Islamic and national perspectives and to identify the similarities, differences, and points of integration between the two perspectives in improving the quality of education. This study employs a library research method with a qualitative approach. The data were obtained from 10 relevant scientific journal articles published between 2021 and 2025. Data collection was conducted through documentation and literature review, while data analysis employed systematic content analysis. The findings indicate that all studies share a common view of teacher professionalism as an important factor in improving the quality of education. The Islamic perspective emphasizes teacher professionalism in terms of ethics, moral character, spirituality, trustworthiness, and exemplary conduct. Meanwhile, the national perspective emphasizes pedagogical, professional, social, and personal competencies, integrity, professional codes of ethics, and the ability to adapt to developments in educational technology. Of the 10 articles analyzed, most studies were found to discuss teacher professionalism partially, focusing on only one particular perspective. Therefore, this study proposes the concept of “Holistic Professionalism” as an integration of Islamic values and national professional standards. This concept positions Islamic values as the moral and spiritual foundation, while the national perspective serves as a measurable operational framework. The integration of these two perspectives is expected to produce professional teachers who demonstrate strong competencies, possess good character, and are capable of addressing the challenges of twenty-first-century education
